Things To Do

One of the best things about getting married in Salem is that there are a TON of things to do, both in the town itself and in other wonderful towns on the North Shore! Here are just a few ideas! If you need more, feel free to ask us! :)
Peabody Essex Museum

Peabody Essex Museum

161 Essex Street, Salem, MA 01970

The Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) is the oldest continuously operating and collecting museum in the United States. Initially formed by a group of twenty-two sea captains and traders who wished to help people understand the world, it is now one of the largest art museums in the United States. Especially notable is their collection of Asian art, which ties closely into Salem's maritime history.

The House of the Seven Gables

Newburyport

Newburyport

Newburyport, MA

Newburyport is one of Alex and my absolute favorite towns on the North Shore! A little day trip to Newburyport and a stroll along the beautiful Merrimack River is the perfect afternoon! If you want a delicious lunch or dinner, check out one of our faves, Agave Mexican Bistro!

Rockport

Rockport

Rockport, MA

Alex and I had one of our first dates here! We love Rockport!! For an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SPOT, check out Halibut Point State Park.

Plum Island

MA

Plum Island is a barrier island with three sand beaches (a great place to find sand dollars that wash up after storms!) and home to the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. It is a lovely spot to go birdwatching or just spend an afternoon in nature. The island is also convenient from Newburyport, MA.

For all the days along the way
