Why is the beach day optional?
Answer
We know not everyone loves the heat, surf, and sand so we don't want anyone to feel forced to attend the beach party.
Question
How do I get to the beach following the brunch reception?
Answer
If you are staying at Lively Beach, you can walk the boardwalk down to the beach where we will have a tent set up. If you are not staying at Lively Beach, after the brunch reception you can leave your car parked at Lively Beach for beach access, or drive and park right on JP Luby Beach! Follow Zahn Rd down to the coastline and head north once you are on the beach. Look for the orange tent set up. Beach parking permits are required and can be purchased for $12 from any HEB or Stripes convenience store. I am not staying at Lively Beach - How do I get in for the brunch reception?
Answer
Pull up to Lively Beach gate and we will provide a code to everyone for entrance to park. You can park in any open spot. The brunch reception will be held on the Lively Beach lawn right by the boardwalk. You will see this area once you have parked.
Question
Do I need to bring beach umbrellas or chairs?
Answer
We will be providing a full beach set up for our guests after the brunch reception - Beach chairs, tents, coolers of drinks, food, and cornhole will be provided. Please bring your own sunscreen and towels.

How hot will it be for the events?
Answer
The rehearsal dinner on Friday 7/12 will be on a waterfront patio, and the reception brunch on Saturday 7/13 will be held outside under a covered patio. Fortunately, mornings and evenings are the coolest times of the day, and being so close to the coast provides a nice breeze and lower than normal tempratures. It IS summer in Texas so please dress accordingly for your needs.
