Are the wedding and recommended lodging located in two different towns?
Answer
Yes! The wedding venue is located in Apple River, Illinois and our recommendations for lodging are located in Galena, Illinois. The venue is approximately 20-25 minutes from Galena.
Question
Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same location?
Answer
Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held at Oak Hill Farm, a 173 acre farm in Apple River, Illinois.
Question
What is the recommended dress code?
Answer
Cocktail attire/Dressy Casual! The men in our wedding party will be wearing suits and will most likely be removing their suit jackets during the reception, depending on the weather. No tuxedos or ball gowns recommended, just dress comfortably so you can dance and enjoy yourself!!

Are most wedding guests staying in Galena for one or two nights?
Answer
It all depends! Our wedding party and immediate family will be spending Saturday and Sunday night in Galena. If wedding guests are able to stay the entire weekend, we absolutely recommend enjoying all that Galena has to offer. If wedding guests wish to only stay one night, I would plan on driving down Sunday morning (the day of our wedding), getting settled in their hotel, staying the night of the wedding, and driving back home Monday morning.

Yes, we will have an open bar!

Answer
Yes, we will be serving dinner, dessert, and a late night snack.

Do you recommend that I drive myself or use the shuttle service?
Answer
We want everyone to have a great time and be safe! If you feel more comfortable driving, there is plenty of onsite parking.
Question
Is the wedding reception inside or outside?
Answer
The reception will be held in the onsite Pavilion (outside). If weather does not cooperate, the Pavilion has sides that come down. We will be celebrating rain or shine!
