This is the closest airport, only 30 minutes from our house, though flights there may be pricier as it's not a hub.

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)

Newark is about 2 hours by car. Public transit from New York City will get you upstate – consider taking the MetroNorth commuter rail to Poughkeepsie or Amtrak to Hudson.

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

JFK is a bit farther by car than Newark, though its connections to public transit are easier (see above).

Many Amtrak lines run from NYC Moynihan/Penn Station to Hudson, just a 30-minute drive from our house.
