Nithya and Nikhil's love story began in the city of London. One evening, Nithya joined a friend for dinner at Burger & Lobsters, unaware that this night would mark the beginning of a beautiful journey. Nikhil, who was Nithya's friend’s roommate, joined them for dinner. As the evening unfolded, an unexpected connection sparked between Nithya and Nikhil. Amidst the delicious food and lively conversations, their paths crossed in a way that seemed almost magical. We met midway in London for a short trip in November. Nikhil flew in from New York and I flew in from Hyderabad. Of course, I knew he was going to propose at some point during the trip, but I wasn't sure when. We planned to see the Christmas lights on Regent Street at 11 PM one night after a long day, and that's when Nikhil was planning on proposing. Little did he know that the lights shut off exactly at 11 PM. Nikhil then said he wanted to take me to another spot to see more Christmas lights (I was getting suspicious by then already). He took me to a street right around the corner from the restaurant where we first met, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him! Fun fact: Nikhil's photographer plan fell through at the last minute, so he had to text Saif and Nihal (the MVPs) to sneakily take our photos when he proposed.
