Nisha & Charles met their sophomore year of NYU when they were both studying abroad in Prague. They quickly realized that they were opposites; while Nisha was an optimist and a romantic who viewed this semester as her version of "eat, pray, love", Charles was a bit more introverted & didn't spend much time thinking about love. They slowly became friends, studying in cafes together & traveling to nearby countries over weekends with friends. They soon realized they had more in common than they thought! They spent hours discussing simple things like their love of indie music or conducting in-depth analyses of The Office. Nisha could talk to Charles about her favorite poets & Charles could do the same with his favorite chefs. By the time they arrived back in NYC for their next semester, they considered each other to be best friends. The next summer, Nisha was supposed to visit her sister in Michigan for her birthday, but her flight got cancelled. She ended up going to a July 4th party instead at her friend's rooftop, where Charles finally asked her out on a first date while fireworks went off above them. 6 years later, they are getting married!
