Nina and Jason met in June of 2016 in Boulder, Colorado through mutual friends. They were immediately drawn to one another's commitment to self-realization and spiritual growth. Over the next nine months as they got to know each other better they found that they loved many of the same things including family, nature, ice cream, movies, music and cats! It was not long before they felt that they belonged together. Jason made the decision in March of 2017 to relocate to California to pursue the relationship and start to build a life together.

In November of 2018, Nina and Jason took a long-awaited trip to Disneyland to experience the beautiful holiday decorations - or so Nina thought. On November 13, Nina's late father's birthday, Jason proposed to Nina by the castle's wishing well. It was a complete surprise and of course, she said yes.
