FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dressy casual is ideal. While we want you to be comfortable, please no t-shirts or ripped jeans. Missouri weather for early November is unpredictable, but it will most likely be chilly after the sun goes down, so we recommend dressing accordingly.

Question

I have dietary restrictions- will I be able to eat?

Answer

Our catering is being provided by Tea Bar & Bites, and through them we are offering several vegetarian and vegan options. If you have further restrictions, please let us know and we will try to work something out for you!

Question

Will there be liquor at this event?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to our contract with the venue, liquor is not allowed on site. We will, however, be providing beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options for you to enjoy!

Question

Can I smoke?

Answer

There is a designated smoking section at our venue located near the reception area. We would prefer to see you inside, however!

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

Our venue has free parking in their large, paved lot located in front of the venue itself.

Question

What if the weather is bad?

Answer

Our venue has an indoor ceremony space as well as an indoor reception area for us to use in case of inclement weather. We plan on having the ceremony outside, but just in case, we have the option to move inside as well!

Question

Can I take pictures and videos?

Answer

We ask that you refrain from using your cellphone during the ceremony itself, unless asked to do otherwise. We do not want anyone getting in the way of the wonderful photographer we have hired! We would be delighted, however, if you took pictures and videos before the ceremony and during the reception!

Question

Are there any health and safety measures to be aware of?

Answer

You are more than welcome to wear a mask during the event, but we ask that if you feel sick, to please stay home. Follow the CDC Guidelines for Isolation and Precautions https://tinyurl.com/3w32zp4x

Question

I've never been to a gay wedding- is there anything special for me to know?

Answer

Our wedding will be fairly similar to a heterosexual wedding, minus the presence of a groom. Some wedding traditions that you may be used to will be slightly altered or reworded, but don't be alarmed! At the end of the day, it will be a short ceremony and a very fun reception!
