Doug and Nikki first met in the elevator of their building in Boston. Their first date was a dog walk with Olive the Aussie Pup around their neighborhood. They had so much fun and made plans to spend more time together … and the rest is a continuous adventure!

Doug and Nikki embarked on a trip to Moab, Utah for Nikki’s birthday in September. They referred to the trip to “MOAB” as the “Mother of All Birthdays” and it sure was! On Tuesday, September 14, they hiked the Fiery Furnace in Arches National Park. The hike was a challenging labyrinth, unmapped and with a very narrow trail that was bordered by a “protected crust” that could not be disturbed. Doug and Nikki carefully navigated their way through the red rock fins. The trail was marked by 25 tiny white arrows that blended in along the way. After 24 of the arrows were found, Nikki was staring off at the landscape admiring the breathtaking scenery. Doug cleverly asked Nikki to come see the rock he found and she found herself in shock when she saw Doug holding the most beautiful ring she had ever seen! #youmakeeverythingbetter
