Pace is a vibey go to date spot of ours when we want to pretend we're in a band in the 70's and/or in Italy. Located below the iconic Laurel Canyon Country store, this restaurant has hosted Jim Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Frank Zappa, and many other legends. It's basically the only restaurant in Laurel Canyon.
Clark Street Diner is a favorite breakfast spot of ours. Formally known as the 101 Coffee Shop, a ton of movies were shot in this 1960's inspired diner. It's in Hollywood and pretty close to the wedding venue.
A mix between LA and Hamptons vibes. A gourmet marketplace where you order at the counter and take a number. A great place for lunch or to pick up something casual to bring back to the spot. We recommend the Chinese chicken salad or any of the pre made bites. It's in West Hollywood.
A great go to brunch spot. We love how this random street in Hollywood has begun to flourish. We highly recommend taking a pre or post bite stroll to check out the scene and peruse Sight Glass Market next door.
Located in an old church, this a slightly more upscale brunch or dinner spot. We recommend getting the steak and baguette with pan drippings. If there was a neighborhood called south Hollywood, that's where it would be, but basically Hollywood.
Not to be confused with Joan's on Third, this is a rock and rollesque Hollywood haunt with great Italian food and the best dirty martinis in town. We love a date night here, especially a late one. We recommend perusing the photography in the bathrooms.
If you really don't know where to go and you want to stick in West Hollywood, Marvin is one of our favorite spots where we don't need to think too hard and it's gonna be great. We prefer to sit inside as it's on a busy street.
If you're staying at The Edition hotel and want great walkable Thai food, this is almost certainly the spot for you. Fair warning, while it is very delicious, it is also equally loud and spicy. We recommend the khao soi and the whole fish if they've got it. Get some natural wine to seem cool.
If you love a lazy susan and great chinese food, this is the place to check out in our neighborhood. Genghis Cohen is the setting of our traditional Jewish Christmas dinner. Fun fact, this is the place where our wedding planner and dear friends got married. We recommend the pot stickers, queens chicken, and taking a moment to check out the decorations, which she also designed.
Another favorite neighborhood haunt. Also, one of the only places in LA where you can get a free basket of carbs the second you sit down. We can't vouch for how often this happens, but one night we saw at least half a dozen celebs that weren't looking to be seen. Authentic Italian down to the waiters.
This is typically a "must" on our tour of LA. Fair warning, it's a trek but if you want to have a Malibu day then we recommend going to the beach (we like Carbon Beach) and then grabbing some seafood at the shack. It's so fresh and delicious. You can get anything from broiled fish to all things fried. Try and time this with a sunset for bonus points. To add even more fun, the coral canyon hike trailhead is in the parking lot.
This place is far away and bougie BUT the sunsets are so pretty here. It's right on the ocean in Malibu. We recommend having an early bird dinner here or going ahead of time to catch the sunset. PRO TIP: ask for the off the menu items, they always have them and they are SO good. If you got for brunch, ask for the off the menu sliders.
Our go to take out sandi shop in our neighborhood. It's also right across the street from Erewhon if you want to "take in the sights" and grab a Hailey Bieber Smoothie (we're kidding... kinda). But seriously, it's across the street from our favorite park called Pan Pacific where you can enjoy your sandi and smoothie.
There's no shortage of Taco Trucks in LA, however while you may walk to your nearest one, please note they are not all created equal. Leo's is incredible and will give you the experience you want. The Al Pastor is so good and there's several locations available, so make sure you're going to the one closest to you.
If you're closer to the east side and want great brunch, All Time is the place for you.
If you want the true experience of our daily coffee walk, go here. You might even get to pet a dog or two.
Sugarfish is an institution. Easy, always great, and slightly upscale sushi. If that's what you're looking for, you don't need to look elsewhere. They also deliver too. We recommend getting the "Trust Me". If you're feeling really hungry, add a hand roll or two or go for the Nozawa Trust Me.
