We want everyone to feel comfortable and are excited to celebrate the day with all of our dearest family and friends, but if you would like some recommendations then we would suggest cocktail/semi formal/formal Indian attire: Men: suit & tie, sports coat, kurta, sherwani Women: cocktail dress, saree, lehenga
To be honest, we could have 4 seasons worth of weather in 1 day! So we would recommend packing for chilly weather/snow but to also bring layers in case we get blessed with some good old midwestern sun!
We have a wonderful photographer (Megan Noll) who we are certain will capture our entire wedding beautifully, so we would love for all our guests to just enjoy yourselves in the moment!
The Baraat ceremony will take place just outside the Scottish Rite Cathedral, please see the Schedule section on the website for more details.
Yes, all venues and the JW Marriott are fully wheelchair accessible!
There is a parking lot west of Scottish Rite Cathedral and a parking garage by the Central Library. There is also street parking available near both venues, although there may be a small hourly fee at some locations.
As much as we want to celebrate with as many people as possible, due to space restrictions we have had to abide by our guest list in terms of the invitations sent. We greatly appreciate your understanding and can't wait to see everyone!
If your wedding invitation lists a +1 or guest, then yes!

Yes, there will be a shuttle transporting guests to and from the hotel to the ceremony and reception venues. There will be additional time between the Hindu and Christian ceremonies. The hotel is approximately a 10 minute drive from the venues and there are multiple Ubers/Lyfts available to take you to explore downtown Indianapolis!
We are very lucky in that the Scottish Rite Cathedral (location of ceremonies) is right across the street from the Indianapolis Central Library (location of the reception)!
The baraat is an Indian wedding custom designating the groom's procession to the wedding venue. At 11AM, Nihanth will make his way from Pierson Street, accompanied by celebratory dancing from his family and friends to the rhythm of the dhol, a double-headed drum widely played in India. The baraat will conclude as Nihanth reaches Scottish Rite, where he will be welcomed by Megan's family.
We are happy to provide heavy hors d'oeuvre/snacks and drinks at Scottish Rite Cathedral between the ceremonies. If anyone would like to explore Indianapolis, we have recommendations listed on our "Things to do" page!
Please feel free to reach out to the bride and groom with any questions! Megan: 317-519-2676 Nihanth: 317-460-3868
