Remote Location!!

**The location is remote and subject to winter weather: Once you leave Grand Marais and start driving the ~45 miles up the paved Gunflint Trail road, do not expect to have phone service and do not expect a snow- or ice-free road.** Travel may be slow (~30 mph), so leave plenty of time to drive safely! 2WD + winter driving skills will sufficiently get you there, unless there is an active blizzard or ice storm.

Come share in a Winter Wonderland

We love winter and want to share a special winter wonderland with you. We will be staying at the Gunflint Lodge from Jan 18 - 22, so if you can take a long weekend and come enjoy the winter majesty, please do! The lodge provides cross country skis and naturalist guides with your stay. Check out nearby Honeymoon Bluff hike, book a dogsledding tour, go ice fishing, or more!
