Our story began at Anderson Animal Shelter, caring for homeless puppies and kittens... this is the line Garrett shares most often when asked the question, "How did you meet?". In reality, our love story began like so many other modern couples, with a simple swipe on Hinge. Little did we know, that 'Match' would forever change our lives. At the time, Garrett lived in San Francisco with his besties Chuck and Sam. With a pandemic summer in full swing, Garrett came home to visit with family and friends. One Friday night, Garrett and Nicole matched on Hinge and after some witty banter decided to go out for dinner and drinks the following Saturday at Za Za's in St. Charles. Saturday came and Garrett and Nicole spent the entire evening talking... well Nicole did the talking and Garrett listened. They closed down the restaurant and the rest was history.

On New Years Eve 2022, Garrett took Nicole to the Lincoln Park Zoo to see the festive holiday lights she'd been begging to see all season. After a walk around the park and through the light maze, Garrett got down on one knee and asked the most important question of all. With tears of joy in our eyes, we said "Yes!" to a future filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
