Nicole had just started her first full-time teaching job when she met Andrew, who was working in the Technology Department at the school. At first, Andrew was intimidated because Nicole was an intense first-year teacher just trying to get through the year despite major technological disasters. (These were allegedly not caused by Andrew as an excuse to see Nicole, but the jury is still out on this.) During the next 3 years, they developed a friendship and after quite a bit of flirting at a work event, Andrew FINALLY asked Nicole out. The first date was a success, even though Nicole beat Andrew badly at Boggle.
Smack in the middle of Covid-19 restrictions, Nicole and Andrew were enjoying an at-home date night when Nicole suggested they play a game she had bought. The game asked questions about their relationship and their favorite moments with one another. As they played, they both would answer the question drawn and then proceed to draw another. Then Andrew (who had been trying to find a happy and organic moment to propose, which was difficult during a pandemic) drew a card that asked the question "What's one thing you've wanted to say to me but haven't yet?" and took it as a sign. He proposed, completely surprising Nicole (which is very hard to do) and she said "YES!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
