We’re getting married!

We met on Alex’s first day working at Short Lane Ice Cream in Gloucester, VA. He came in on Monday for training and by Friday we were inseparable! We spent the whole summer working there together, and have some of our fondest memories there.

We were going out for a dinner at York River Oyster Company when Alex asked to stop at the beach in Gloucester. We hadn’t been there in a while and wanted to spend a moment together before we started dinner. I got suspicious because even as it started to rain he asked if we could go out on the beach for a bit. As he distracted me with supposedly a pod of dolphins out in the York (there were no dolphins) as he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course said yes! That’s when Melanie, an amazing photographer and friend, came out from the bushes and had captured the whole thing! We had a great night talking and laughing and reminiscing on our five years together. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!

The wedding will take place on March 2, 2024 in Virginia Beach, VA! The venue is The Gala 417.
