This is our FAVORTE seafood place. They grow their own shellfish, and all fish is locally & ethically sourced. The line gets long on weekends, but it's so worth it! Get a few plates to share, and soak in the views of the bay.
This is the nearest breakfast to our house. Their "real" food is just fine, but their pastries are amazing! After breakfast, take a couple hours to hike around the park.
Spend the afternoon strolling around the shops on La Conner Historic Waterfront.
Pay to park is required. Take an hour to cross the bridge and hike down to the beach. Drive right down the road to Rosario Beach State Park for more hiking and picnic areas.
Take a scenic drive to Artist Point lookout in Mt. Baker Wilderness. If you're up for a challenge, Chain Lakes trail from Heather Meadows is worth the work! Otherwise, pack a lunch and find a shady spot to have a picnic in the alpines!
Take advantage of the weather and get out on the Water. This tour company has lots of tour options (even some for the kiddos).
Take the ferry from Anacortes to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. The town has cute shops, restaurants, and a maritime museum.
The 2 hour drive from our house is totally worth it for this WWII fort on Whidbey Island. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the beach after running around the fort. Super fun activity for kids and adults!
