Nickole and Ryan met during their first year of law school. They were in all of the same classes and ended up in the same group of friends. Once the second semester began, Ryan and Nickole began spending more and more time together. Nickole developed a BIG crush and--even though Ryan was determined not to have a girlfriend in law school--he couldn't stop spending time with Nickole. After months of being "just friends," Ryan finally asked Nickole on a date and they have been inseparable ever since!
A few weeks before the proposal, Ryan said that there was a small event at the Kennedy Center’s outdoor concert venue as a “trial” for their social distancing/COVID-19 protocols. He even had an email from the Kennedy Center describing the event! When they arrived at the Kennedy Center, they walked around back where the alleged check-in was, but no one was there. Ryan then grabbed Nickole's hand and said, "I have a secret to tell you. There is no concert." That is when she knew that he was about to pop the question! After he proposed, their parents popped out from behind the pillars to congratulate them! There was champagne, flowers, and lots of tears!
