We have made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding reception on May 22, 2021. As you know, we officially tied the knot on February 2nd this year- and shortly thereafter the world was consumed with uncertainty due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. At this time, we're still not comfortable planning a large gathering, and we don't know when we'll be comfortable with it again. Not only that, but we're at the point now that we'd prefer to focus on our future together.
In lieu of the reception, we will have a short vow exchange for our anniversary with only our immediate families and a photographer/videographer in attendance. The bridal feeling is fading fast, so we want to simply mark the occasion with gorgeous wedding photos. We're sorry that most of you will miss this event, but we will have plenty of photos and a highlight video to share.
In addition to our marriage this year, we've also bought our first house on 2.5 acres, and brought home a new puppy- so life is beautiful and busy! Owning a home is quite an adventure. We're still unpacking, but it seems like every week we realize we need something new. Dahlia, the puppy, is a standard poodle who we are training to become a service dog. Additionally, we're beginning to make plans to grow our human family!
We decided to sign the papers early to avoid anxiety and hassle later. There was no big event on this day, just dinner with our parents. You can see pictures on our photos page!
