Lovers Point
We like to come walk around here after we hit our favorite Brunch spot in Pacific Grove. Ocean Views, recreation trail runs through it and lots of nature and creatures to take in.
Carmel Beach
This is by far our favorite beach in the area for one BIG reason....DOGS! It's the only beach in the area you can have dogs off the leash and it's quite literally doggy heaven! Miles of beautiful pristine beach, lots of fun places to explore along the beach, and plenty of dog friends to make.
Downtown Monterey
We live walking distance and we love it. Just a little further is Fisherman's Wharf. Lots of good eats, fun shops, and overall good times. Places we recommend include: Alvarado Street Brewery: Good good, good beer, fun atmosphere Sur Burger: new burger place, awesome condiment bar, fun atmosphere Boardwalk Sub Shop: delicious philly steak subs, as well as, sandwiches, OLD BAY FRIES (Yaaaass) We've also heard good things about Lallapalooza Restaurant (we just have yet to check it out)
Fishermans Wharf
Fisherman's Wharf is a great place to get some yummy seafood. It's fun to walk down the Wharf, people watch and just take in the Ocean view. We often walk from home just to get a walk in and on occasion treat ourselves to yummy treats. It's also right off the Recreation Trail which you can walk all the way down to Cannery Row from if you like (be warned it's quite a long walk, but completely doable). We recommend: Old Fisherman's Grotto: intimate setting, ocean views, delicious seafood Scales: more casual, yummy cocktails, delicious seafood, ocean views
