It all started at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where we both attended undergraduate (and eventually graduate) school. Lauren "officially" met Nick at a tailgate her freshman year. Nick's sophomore year apartment happened to be one of the popular tailgating spots on campus, and Lauren's freshman year roommate (and eventual bridesmaid) was lucky enough to get the consistent invite from Nick, who knew each other from high school. Nick and Lauren spent the fall of 2015 getting to know each other through these tailgates, cheering on the Badgers, and some business classes on campus. It wasn't until 2017 when Nick and Lauren started to realize maybe there was more than just a friendship between them, and that's when Nick finally worked up the courage to ask Lauren on a first date! Nick allegedly was so nervous, he wore his sweater inside out - which he realized halfway through the first date, but admitted this much much later :) After a few more dates around campus, we began officially dating in the spring of 2018, and have been nearly inseparable ever since. Nick moved to Chicago once he graduated from UW-Madison, with Lauren moving to Chicago a year later. Since then, we have loved getting to explore our new home together, and also supporting each other in our public accounting careers. While there are definitely some differences in which teams we root for (Packers versus Vikings games always bring out our competitive spirits), we love spending our time together traveling, cheering on our Badgers, and spending time with family and friends. We absolutely cannot wait to celebrate with all of you in July!
