Nick met Alex at “Bama Bound”, The University of Alabama’s summer orientation. Together, they went undefeated on the beer pong table and laid the foundation for their friendship. When they arrived back on Campus in August, Nick and Alex picked up where they left off and have been best friends ever since. Nick recently stood by Alex’s side as he married his wife Lindsay.

Kate and Liz met in first grade at church, making Liz one of Kate's oldest friends ever. They spent nearly every day of high school together, made frequent visits during college, and continue to be best friends today.
Carleigh Watts

While they shared nearly all of the same classes at Alabama, Nick and Carleigh only became friends after being paired for a group project their senior year. Little did they know, they’d both find themselves living in New York post-grad. They could be found stretching a dollar at Joe’s pizza, trudging across New York in search of the best dumpling, or having a drink or 6 at a bar that they were far too young for.

Kyra is not so much a friend of Kate's as she is a little sister. They grew up next door to each other in Westford and have spent their entire lives together. Through childhood, adulthood, moves, jobs, and everything in between, Kyra has been a constant in Kate's life.

Nick and Sam are cousins, whose friendship flourished in 2016, when Nick boarded a Boston-bound Acella. Sam greeted him at the train station with a pair of gym shorts, a t-shirt, and a baseball mitt. That night, Nick joined Sam’s company softball team and earned his place on Sam’s couch. A week later, Nick moved to Boston and spent many a night on that same couch as the two gallivanted through their early 20s.
Ali Garteig

Ali and Kate met at Quinnipiac University when Ali transferred in as a Sophomore and was randomly assigned to Kate's suite. Quickly becoming not only roommates but best friends, they've remained just as close in the years since graduation, even as Ali moved overseas to Finland and Germany!
Jake Byrne

While Nick and Sam were playing beer league in Boston, Jake was busy playing First Base at Assumption. Eventually, Jake got his priorities straight and joined them on the rec field. They played catchup and have become the best of friends. Nick recently stood by Jake’s side as he married his wife Rachel.
Haley Keenan

A built-in, blood related best friend, Haley is Kate's cousin by chance and friend by choice. They have matching tattoos dedicated to the Cape Cod town their grandparents lived in where they would spend summers together growing up!
Pat Rodgers

After waking up on Sam’s couch, Nick threw on a plaid sports coat and Ubered to the North End of Boston, where he interviewed with the company formerly known as 451 Marketing. Pat was on the hiring team. His first words to Nick were “Dude, sick jacket.” The two quickly became teammates, deskmates, and soulmates, most notably punching each other in the face everyday while training for Haymakers for Hope.

Carly and Kate met through Nicole, but moved out of friend-of-a-friend territory almost immediately. Now, Kate has spent multiple weeks straight living with Carly at her and Nicole's NYC apartment and Carly has become a constant presence on Cape Cod with Kate and Nick.
Rob Tagle

Kate’s best friend and Matron of Honor, Liz, is incredibly thoughtful. So much so that she married a Yankees fan for Nick’s sake. Nick and Rob hit it off immediately. Their friendship is so strong that it survived Rob proposing to Liz in 2020, subsequently starting the shot clock for Nick. Thanks, Rob. Last May, Nick and Rob represented the United States in an impromptu arm wrestling tournament against French, Harvard Students. They were victorious.

Similar to Kyra (which is fitting because they're sisters), Hannah is, for all intents and purposes, Kate's little sister. More on Hannah below ;)

Dave introduces Nick as his “older brother” and Kate as his “old brother's fiance.” As it should be. Love you David.
Emily Townsend

Emily and Kate met on their first day of work, and soon realized they were long-lost friends who had gone to preschool together and taken drivers-ed together in high school. Emily was the first to learn of Kate's crush on Nick and was a major part of the plot to get them to date. In the years since, Emily has become just as much of Nick's best friend as Kate's, and there was no one more suited to officiate this wedding than her.

Why David and Hannah?
Known for the first 15 years of their lives (aka far too long) as "The Babies," Kate always joked that David and Hannah would be the ring bearer and flower girl at her wedding. Even though they'll both be 23 years old at the time of the wedding, they'll be fulfilling their destiny years in the making.
