Our love began in third grade, but we didn't realize it until we were 21. We were just 8-years-old, playing for the same soccer club, that’s the first time we met. But, we grew up, moved on, and in some ways — forgot. But our friends found ways to reconnect us. We started crossing paths again as college kids, whether it was Mardi Gras, a weekend trip to Kansas City, or Snapchats sent about the Chiefs. When Emma moved home to Kansas City in 2019, Nick took this opportunity to shoot his shot and asked Emma on an official date. Two years later, he proposed!
