Georgetown DC
One of our favorite places to spend an afternoon in the city. We love to take walks and look at the architecture of D.C.'s oldest neighborhood. It's fantastic for shopping and dining too!
United States Botanic Garden
A fun, year-round experience! The Botanic Garden is beautiful, and has a huge selection of plants. This is a great DC attraction to explore, plus admission is free!
Smithsonian Instituion
Checking out different Smithsonian museums is one of our favorite dates! The museums are open daily, typically from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm - and admission is always free! There's a huge amount of museums to choose from. Some of our top picks are the Museum of African American History, the Natural History Museum, the Museum of the American Indian, and the American History Museum. We love to walk around the Smithsonian Castle and gardens too. P.S. - If you're thinking of checking out the African American History Museum make sure you go online and reserve a time slot!
Ching Ching Cha
We had one of our first dates together at this Tea Room! The ambience is peaceful and relaxing, the tea is delicious, and there’s food served as well.
Clyde's of Gallery Place
Back to where it all began! Even though this wasn’t the Clyde’s location we met at, we would often stop at this location before or after Capital’s games. Great food and service, plus a generous happy hour. We have lots of good memories at their Georgetown location, and The Hamilton too!
The Pembroke
One of the most fantastic dining experiences we’ve had in DC! The Pembroke is a beautiful restaurant in DuPont Circle, with a lovely atmosphere. It’s on the pricier side, but the value is amazing.
Ambar Capitol Hill
Delicious Balkan food with a unique dining experience. A great opportunity to try a spread of different foods!
Colada Shop
Delicious Cuban coffee, cocktails, and treats! This is their District Wharf location, but you can find them in a couple other spots in DC!
Falafel Inc
Delicious falafel spot for a quick and inexpensive vegetarian bite! The food is fresh, homemade, and full of flavor. One of our favorite spots at the Wharf.
Rappahannock Oyster Bar (Wharf)
If you’re a fan of oysters and delicious cocktails you have to check out Rappahannock! They have other great seafood options if oysters aren’t your thing ;)
