Nick and I were both single when COVID hit. Amanda was living in a 1 bedroom apartment alone, and Nick was living at his parent's house. We both lived in Fort Collins but especially during the COVID era, we didn't get out much. Thankfully for our favorite friend, Hinge, we came across each other's profiles. Let's just say it was love at first dogs. Our first dates consisted of dog walks, take out food, and wine nights talking. Because there was not much to do we spent a lot of time talking and getting to know each other very quickly. 3 months into dating Nick bought his house in Highlands Ranch and Amanda planned on "visiting" a lot since she had the flexibility of working from home. However, Amanda ended up going back to her Fort Collins apartment only a handful of times and it was only to grab more of her belongings. Once her lease was up for her apartment she officially moved in and they have been living in their home and building their lives together ever since.
In October of 2021, we went to Telluride for Amanda's birthday trip and decided we wanted to make it an annual trip. In 2022, our October started to quickly fill up so we decided to move our annual trip up to September. Amanda was hoping the proposal was coming but was absolutely convinced it wasn't happening on this trip. Barely 15 minutes after arriving in Telluride, Nick proposed. Nick and Amanda were walking back in the mountains with our pups where Nick proposed and it was absolutely perfect.
