Let's do this!

Nick and Stef met on Hinge, and it was love as first swipe! Their first date was on October 27th, 2018. They had decided to meet at a popular restaurant, but quickly realized it was way too crowded for a first date spot. There were no tables available and it was way to loud to talk and get to know each other. Because they met in the town Stefani currently lived in, Nick asked if she knew any other places they could go. Stefani knew a great restaurant in town... but told him it may be a little awkard because her sister works there and she was working that night. Nick was totally on board to meet family on the first date, that's when Stef knew he was a keeper.

In January of 2022 Stef and Nick were signed up for the 10k race of the Disney Marathon Weekend. Stef being a huge Disney fan and Nick being competitive, they were undoubtedly excited for the trip. A few weeks prior to this trip Stef and Nick went to a jewelry boutique to try on engagement rings. They had picked one they thought was a perfect fit and placed the order. Because of this close timeline, Stefani really had no idea that the proposal would happen during their trip! On January 7th, they ran the 10k at 5am and spent the rest of the day in Magic Kingdom (after returning to their hotel for a shower of course). Little did Stef know, while she was getting ready Nick unpacked the ring they had picked out and had been delivered in time for their trip. He placed the ring in his pocket and they left for a day of riding Space Mountain, Pirates of the Carribean, It's a Small World... all while the ring was in his pocket with no box! Stef later told him how risky this was. Nick had an idea of the perfect Disney proposal for Stefani. His plan was to propose while taking a picture in front of the castle. However, Stefani was fully immersed in Disney and had no intentions of taking a photo on Main Street with the Castle until just before the fireworks. So, after a long day of nerves and fear of losing the ring, it finally happened. Stefani wanted to take a picture in front of the castle, and as they did Nick got down on one knee and proposed. Stefani was in shock and disbelief, but said yes!
