It all started with a Groupon for Crossfit. We were gym friends, workout buddies and unavailable for several years. Nick would say that I snubbed him the first time we met, but I remember it differently. I watched Nick date all the wrong girls and no one was ever good enough for him. I even tried to hook him up with several of my friends over the years. Then there was a day where we were both single, at the same time, and Nick took a 45 minute Uber from a party just to come hang out with me, the rest is history. We were afraid to tell people that we were more than just friends at first, but when we did, to our surprise no one was shocked. Everyone else had seen our chemistry over the years except for us.
Junes 25th, our friends, Tiffany and Mike, invited us out to dinner at The Columbia restaurant on Sand Key. Tiffany texted saying they were caught in some traffic and would be running behind. Nick suggested we just go out to the beach to kill sometime and maybe see the sunset. I knew Sand Key had sentimental value to us, but I honestly thought we were just going to kill time and that our friends were on their way. We walked down to the beach and Nick pointed out some stuff on the sand that I thought was "super cute". Thinking it was for someone else, I didn't think much of it until Nick turned us into it and I realized that it was for us! There was champagne, charcuterie and a proposal.
