The attire is mountain semi formal. The idea is that you look nice but are also practical. In classic Sophie fashion this can look like a dress with hiking boots. Proper footwear is key here! We want you to be comfortable and stay awhile. Temperatures drop when the sun goes down and you never know if some afternoon showers will roll in. There is also a lake so feel free to bring a swimsuit, we will have paddle boards and canoes. Here is a link for some outfit ideas https://pin.it/4Y5HojO
Though optional and just for fun, we would love to have folks be in western casual attire. Think Montana cowboy! Nick will be wearing a flannel and bolo tie for reference. Have fun here, but be comfy don’t feel like you need to spend money. Here is a link for outfit ideas - https://pin.it/7mKxxBa
Telluride is typically very pleasant in July with temperatures being in the 70s as the high and in the 40s as the low. Our venue though is at 11,000ft, so with the altitude it will be cooler. Afternoon thunderstorms also can roll in so make sure you have a raincoat and warm jacket. Don’t forget sunscreen!
On the day of the wedding please do not drive, take the shuttle because parking is extremely limited and reserved for our vendors. If you would like to come hang out early or any of the other days throughout the weekend, reach out to Nick or Sophie. We can pick you up or let you know if there is space to park!
We have a strict guest headcount and for that reason if we have not personally invited your date on the invitation we cannot accommodate extra guests.
YES! Nick is gluten free and Sophie is vegan so there will absolutely be food to accommodate.
Ideally ASAP, but no later than May 13th. Yes this is 2 months in advance, but it is an adventure getting to the venue, and we need the time to prepare with our vendors.
Yes! On Friday there will be a rehearsal dinner for family only, but join us for drinks in Mountain Village afterwards. However, Sunday morning there will be a brunch at the cabin for anyone who wants to join. Please RSVP, so we can plan accordingly. Brunch shuttle will be at 8:30am.
1. Stay hydrated- plan to drink more water than you think leading up to the wedding 2. Acclimate if possible- try to spend sometime at medium elevations before heading up to 11,000 ft. In an ideal world the best way to do this is to arrive a couple days ahead of time. 3. Sunscreen- the sun is more intense up high, plan to reapply 4. Eat- small meals more often is great in helping with oxygen in take 5. Alcohol- drinking at altitude is magnified (as in you feel it more, not you do it more!) We will have ibuprofen and an oxygen machine if you need it!
