This is Shruti and Nick’s favorite spot in Dallas! Come here early in the morning to stroll through the huge garden before it gets too warm.
Bawarchi Biryanis - Irving Indian Cuisine
Shruti and Nick go to this biriyani place way too often! It’s part of a chain that is headquartered in India.
Fort Worth Stockyards
One of the most touristy places around here. There is a small cattle drive that takes place daily. If you need to get any souvenirs that reflect Fort Worth’s days as a town full cowboys, look no further.
Japanese Garden
Located inside the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, the layout of this place may have you thinking you mistakenly took a flight to Japan.
The Dallas World Aquarium
This is a great place for the kiddos!
See the Texas Rangers play!
Nick recommends that you check out the new ballpark and see a professional baseball game while in town. The Rangers aren’t a fantastic team, but we support them.
Kimbell Art Museum
The most well known museum in the area with iconic architecture. Go here if you want to see more traditional exhibits.
Eataly Dallas
An amazing complex at Northpark Mall that consists of several Italian restaurants, an authentic market, and lots of counters to buy tasty treats!
VISHNUJI KI RASOI
This is a great place to go if you want authentic Marathi cuisine. Shruti gets a little taste of home every time she goes!
Fort Worth Zoo
This is the best zoo out of the two that are in the area. Shruti and Nick had a great time here when they were still getting to know each other.
Perot Museum of Nature and Science
This is a very popular museum and has lots for children to explore.
Bishop Arts District
Many people consider this neighborhood to be the coolest in Dallas. There are many restaurants and bars in this eclectic location.

Literally a central part of the ambiance of Downtown Fort Worth.

This Italian place is a hidden gem.
Joe T. Garcia's
The most famous Mexican restaurant in Fort Worth. It does not have an extensive menu, but the patio is nice and the margaritas are strong! Nick’s mom used to send him the hottest salsa sold here in the mail when he was at Texas Tech!
Toyota Music Factory
Good place for a concert. It is not too far from the wedding venue.
Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth
This is a fun place to go if you are a fan of the unconventional.
The Factory in Deep Ellum
Deep Ellum is a neighborhood in Dallas that is known for its music. Take a look at the calendar for this place. You might be pleasantly surprised.

This is a massive stadium mostly used for sporting events. The Dallas Cowboys play NFL games here.

A unique bookstore that serves alcohol and hosts interesting events.
Dallas Zoo
A solid zoo. The Fort Worth Zoo is slightly better, but you can feed giraffes here.
Winslow's Wine Cafe
One of the favorite hang place of Shruti and her bridesmaids. Their unofficial motto is “where friendships begin”. A local spot for pizza, simple New American fare & by-the-glass wine in casual digs with a fire pit.
Fort Worth Museum of Science and History
A good museum for kids to explore.
Cattleack Barbeque
One of the best barbecue joints in the area. Texas Monthly has rated it highly. There are a few places in Dallas-Fort Worth that are rated even higher. If you are a barbecue snob, you will be in the right place.
Dallas Symphony Orchestra at Meyerson Symphony Center
The Meyerson has amazing acoustics.

The best brewery in Dallas.
AT&T Performing Arts Center
You may not have realized it, but this is a center for the performing arts. The well-known Winspear Opera House is located within its complex.
Hard Eight BBQ
Good barbecue for the regular Joe. Depending on which direction the wind blows, you may end up going crazy from the smell alone before you even get your food.

A standard sushi place with a good atmosphere.

Shruti and Nick frequent this delicious restaurant. Be careful how much spice you ask for! Shruti has been known to tear up and I may or may not have breathed fire before.

See the preserved footprints of prehistoric beasts in this state park.
Six Flags Over Texas
This is a big amusement park filled with roller coasters and other rides that will get your adrenaline flowing.

This is an Indian grocery chain with a good selection.
Central Market
This is a grocery store that is similar to Whole Foods in a lot of ways, but frankly better. It is owned by HEB, the beloved Texas grocery chain.
