Both of us were so desperate to meet someone so we jumped on Match.com and tested the waters. Sam was unfortunately lost and on there for months, while Nick had just started his search. After many unsuccessful attempts, Sam decided to send Nick a message, just a simple "Hey". The rest is what they call…history.

They planned a trip to their special date spot. They used to meet in Naperville, IL because it was halfway from both of their houses. Nick would drop his sister off for school and Sam would drive out to meet them for dinner. Afterwards, the two of them would spend the night just walking around the river. On their first date in 2017, Nick told Sam he was going to push her off the bell tower, yet this did not deter Sam. Flash forward 4 years, the two were walking the river walk and Nick suggests climbing the bell tower. One can understand Sam's hesitation. So, off they went only to find the tower to be closed. The two decide to take a picture in front of the infamous bell tower instead. As they go to walk away, Nick stops Sam and confesses he’s not actually shopping for pickup trucks, but rather a gorgeous ring. Guess it was true love
