Sangeet, which literally translates to “music”, is an event held a few days before the wedding and is filled with dance, music, and vibrant colors. In the olden days, women of all ages gathered around and took turns singing songs and dancing. Please note no open bar. Furthermore you are not required to attend full timeslot of the event.

For the Haldi ceremony dress code color is yellow in colour. If in doubt ask me (Nupur)
As the bride & groom takes a step towards the new beginning, the Haldi (Turmeric) ceremony is a purifying ritual before they enter into holy matrimony. The color yellow is intend associated with new begging, peace & happiness. For guests who has work, please know that you are not required to be present for full time of the ceremony. You are more than happy to leave once you have given us your blessing by performing the ritual. (apply a small portion of the turmeric & sandalwood paste on Nic & Nupur) Please note only vegetarian dishes & non-alcoholic beverages will be served due to religious reasons.

Mehndi, otherwise known as henna, is a paste associated with positive sprits & good luck. Please wear half-sleeve top, if you also would like to get henna (both girls & boys) Please note no open bar or/and BYO. Furthermore you are not required to attend full timeslot of the event.
12:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, & so are suits and cocktail dresses. Bold, vibrant colours are heavily encouraged, but be sure to stay away from white (shades of white also) (associated with funerals) and red/pink (the colour the bride wears). You can also wear an Indian outfit. If you need help, contact me (Nupur).
Please note only vegetarian dishes & non-alcoholic beverages will be served till the end of the Indian ceremony only due to religious reasons. The alcohol will be served after the Indian ceremony.
