Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Hotel Blake will be our hub for the weekend! This is where the bridal party will be staying, where shuttle transportation to the Bridgeport Art Center will depart from, and it's the closest hotel to the other events of the weekend. If you would like to be a little closer to downtown Chicago, we also have a discounted rate available at The Langham. Regardless of where you're staying, you are welcome to meet at Hotel Blake on Saturday, Nov. 2 so you can shuttle to the Bridgeport Art Center with the rest of the group. Question

Are there any other events for wedding guests that I should know about?

Answer

All guests will be invited to a casual get-together on Friday, Nov. 1 so we can kick off the weekend, as well as to a farewell brunch on Sunday, Nov. 3 so we can thank you for coming! Please refer to the Schedule tab for details.

Can I bring a date? How about my kids?

Answer

Your invitation should be clear about who is included in your party, but please let us know if you have any questions!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The wedding will be cocktail attire. Men should wear suits or sport jackets, and women should wear cocktail dresses or long dresses. No dress code is required for the other events -- but we will be taking pictures at every moment, so dress however makes you feel like a million bucks!

What do you mean this will be a device-free ceremony?

Answer

We will have a fabulous photographer and videographer who will capture the ceremony beautifully. We hope that you'll agree to put your phone away in order to be fully present with us, and leave the photographer and videographer to the work of capturing the ceremony! This is just for the duration of the ceremony and afterwards, you're free to use your devices as much as you like!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We will have menu items available for our guests who are vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free, and who have any other dietary restrictions. You'll have a chance to flag any restrictions when you RSVP.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony? How about parking?

Answer

Yes and yes! We will provide shuttle transportation from Hotel Blake to and from the Bridgeport Art Center on Saturday, Nov. 2. If you're staying at The Langham or another nearby hotel, we still encourage you to come over to the Hotel Blake so you can shuttle with the rest of the group. (Transportation will not be provided on Friday or Sunday.) The Bridgeport Art Center has a large, free parking lot that will provide more than enough spaces for our guests.

Should I dress for the weather?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will be indoors, so no need to fret about dressing for the outdoors. That said, Chicago in November is peak fall -- it could be a beautiful day in the 60s, or it could be rainy and in the 40s. Keep an eye on the weather when you're packing!
