Guanajuato

We're excited to celebrate with you in Mexico! Our wedding festivities will happen in Guanajuato City. Please note, Guanajuato is the name of the state as well as the capital city of the state. Just to be clear, we'll be right in the center of the capital city for all wedding activities! Everything is walking distance or a quick cab ride away, so we do not recommend a rental car. Although some places take credit/debit cards, we also recommend getting pesos at your bank before the trip for the best exchange rates as cabs and some places in the city only accept pesos. ¡Estamos emocionados de celebrar contigo en México! Nuestras festividades de boda se llevarán a cabo en la ciudad de Guanajuato. Tenga en cuenta que Guanajuato es el nombre del estado y también la ciudad capital del estado. Para que quede claro, ¡estaremos justo en el centro de la ciudad capital para todas las actividades de boda! Todo está a poca distancia o en un corto trayecto en taxi, por lo que no lo recomendamos un coche de alquiler.

Guanajuato International Airport (BJX)

We highly recommend flying into El Bajío International Airport (BJX) as it will be the quickest way to your stay in Guanajuato. The car ride into Guanajuato City is about 30 minutes and you can obtain a taxi outside of the airport. Please bring pesos to pay your taxi driver. We recommend using an authorized taxi at the airport. Uber is an option but you have to walk to a separate area outside of the airport. The drive is only about 40 minutes! El Bajío International Airport (BJX) es el aeropuerto que mas te recomendamos, ya que es el mas cercano a Guanajuato (a solo 40 minutos). Ubers no estan funcionando dentro del aeropuerto. Te recomendamos contratar un taxi dentro del aeropuerto.

Where to Stay/Hospedaje

Guanajuato city is full of beautiful and unique small boutique hotels and Airbnb's. Feel free to search for your own accommodations on the site of your choice. As a location reference point, we recommend checking the address of your desired accommodation to make sure it's within approximately a maximum of 5-10 minutes walking distance from Teatro Juarez or the Basilica of Guanajuato. These links will take you to a few boutique hotels that are in a great location. Please verify that these match your own needs before booking. There are also great airbnb stays available. Many of these hotels are perfectly located right in the town square/plaza where all of the festivities are happening, but airbnbs can be found close by, usually just outside the plazas. Remember check whether price points are in MXN or USD. La ciudad de Guanajuato está llena de pequeños hoteles boutique hermosos y únicos y Airbnb. Siéntase libre de buscar su propio alojamiento en el sitio de su elección. Como punto de referencia de ubicación, recomendamos verificar la dirección de su alojamiento deseado para asegurarse de que se encuentre a una distancia máxima aproximada de 5 a 10 minutos caminando del Teatro Juárez o de la Basílica de Guanajuato (Basílica colegiata de Nuestra Señora de Guanajuato).
