We're Getting Married!

When Nick first moved to Florida, one of the only people he knew was Adam Cross. They would watch football together on Sundays and rate the different Truly flavors. One day, Adam brought up the girls that he worked at EY with, one of them being Shauna. Fast forward a few football Sunday's, and Nick follows Shauna on Instagram - no slide into the DM's, no liked pictures, just a follow to keep it casual. At this point, they had not met, they had only heard about each other through Adam. Shauna follows Nick back and immediately texts Adam asking how tall Nick was (hey, it was one of Shauna's requirements for a potential date, and it looks like he met that requirement). Shauna and Nick were both also on the dating app Hinge, where a few weeks later, they matched! They had their first date at Wicked Barley on December 6, 2019 and the rest is history!

Nick and Shauna celebrated their 1.5 years on Monday, July 19, 2021. They kept it casual with a home-cooked meal by Shauna. A few days later, Nick told Shauna they were going out on Friday to celebrate, but he wouldn't tell her where they were going. Instead, he left her two clues. The first clue "The Witch not from the East is described with this adjective." Easy right? Wicked Barley! But Nick wanted Shauna to dress up, so he left her a second clue that told her they were going to dinner at Cowford Chop House. With these clues, Shauna put on a pretty dress and they went to Wicked Barley. As they were about halfway through their drinks, the Wicked Barley manger walks up to them, leads them to the beautiful dock on the river, where Nick had everything planned out with a photographer. Nick got down on one knee and popped the question and everyone at Wicked Barley could hear Shauna say YES!
