Twins of Honor
I have been honored to call our beautiful Bridemothra my best friend for more than 16 years. She stood next to me as I married my keeper, and I cannot wait to stand by her side as she marries the love of her life.
Equally Good Man
With the devilishly charming combo of “Your friendship is convenient” and “There’s literally no one else” - Joe and I have been inseparable since high school. We started making home movies which quickly lead to Joe’s film career and my career of directing Joe’s films. For the record, I am the "Best Man" and Eric is the lesser titled "Alright Gentleman."* *Editor's note: this claim is not endorsed by The Groom. Additionally The Groom had to do many grammatical formatting changes to this biography.
Twins of Honor
Ashley and I first joined forces to take on the turmoils of our freshman year of high school. Almost two decades later, through high tides and low, our friendship blossomed into a sisterhood. I am so honored and overjoyed to be by her side as she says “I do” to the love of her life.
Equally Good Man
I’m a software engineer in Los Angeles, and I grew up in Cochranton with Joe. We’ve known each other since kindergarten. We spent most of our weekends together playing video games.
Bridesmaid
My name is Mary Goodchild and I'm Ashley's real life twin. Well, sort of. I am the Hilda to her Ida in our band Dr Pinch and the Pinchtones, and our alter-egos are twin sisters. As life imitates art, I am now and forever so thankful to have Ashley as my real-life chosen sister, and auntie to my two little ones who adore her.
Groomsman
Frank and Joe are childhood friends who bonded over a shared love of movie making and inappropriate humor. For the majority of their teens, they could be found hanging at each other's houses, scripting their next YouTube blockbuster, or plotting political takeovers as Class President (Joe) and Vice President (Frank). After attending college less than 15 minutes away from Joe, Frank settled in Charleston, SC where he now fulfills his role as "that Yankee from Pennsylvania."
Bridesmaid
Ashley and I met doing musicals at Cal State Northridge. After we both graduated, we did summer Shakespeare in Griffith Park for a few years. It was during one of those summers that she and Joe started dating, and I still remember how giddy she was!
Groomsman
I met Joe in college where, together, we practiced Defence against the Cinema and Digital Dark Arts, and, to a lesser degree, cross country running. For an unknown reason, our particular brands of ‘weird’ were compatible, and lo and behold, I made my first, and often considered only, friend. I now (still) reside in Pittsburgh, PA with my beautiful son Dancing Gnome Beer, and cute ass Chihuahua, Rigby.
Bridesmaid
I lucked out and met Ashley within my first month of moving to Los Angeles. She was playing an evil angel, but she was not too evil, and we became dear friends. I was grateful to meet someone so jazzy so early on. Getting to know Joe was an added bonus. They are the heaviest contributors to my gaming knowledge and I am grateful for them.
Groomsman
Joe and Ashley's favorite third wheel.
Bridesmaid
Ashley and I met working with the Independent Shakespeare Co. in Los Angeles. The exact details are kind of fuzzy now, to be completely honest; our friendship blooming gently over time and as the number of shows we did together increased. Then along came Joe who was such a shining example of what a really, really good and totally cute guy should be, and he was perfect for Ashley if for no other reason than he seemed to make her incandescently happy. We’ve all watched each other grow and evolve in our sometimes parallel, sometimes separate lives and careers, but when we are together it’s like no time or distance has come between us at all. As far as friends go, what more could a girl living in LA ask for?
Groomsman
Through sharing apartments in both Pittsburgh and LA, and many heated moments over tabletop games, Joe and I have slowly started to figure out the mechanics of adult life. I'm honored to have Joe as such a good friend and staple in my life, and excited to take part in another major milestone. I currently work as a cameraman, but spend most of my time traveling and visiting mountains. I still technically live in our original LA apartment. (Groom's note, the wedding photos might be the first time Randy will have a picture of his face taken.)
Officiant
Bernadette Sullivan is beyond honored to be officiating at the nuptials of Ashley and Joseph. She has performed countless times onstage with the talented Ashley and has loved spending time with her talking all creative things. She believes anyone who loves Ashley as much as Joe does is A-OK in her book.
