THE PROPOSAL We always dreamed of visiting Rome, but we never imagined that it would become the setting of our engagement. On July 15th, we embarked on a guided tour of Rome's most iconic landmarks, starting with the Colosseum and then making our way to the Aventine Hill, where a hidden gem awaited us: the Giardino degli Aranci, or the Orange Garden. 
 This scene offered us a breathtaking view of the entire city, with St. Peter's Basilica as the centerpiece. We were admiring the scenery and snapping photos when Sam noticed a photographer nearby. She thought the photographer was just another tourist and tried to move out of her way, but then she saw Will kneeling on one knee with a ring in his hand. The photographer was there to capture our proposal! 
 Will, with help from our wonderful friends at RCF, had arranged everything beforehand - the photographer, the ring, champagne and even a musician who serenaded us with Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis right after Samantha said “YES”. 
 It was the happiest moment in both of our lives, and what made it more special was that was happening in such a beautiful location. 
 The rest of the day was filled with joy and excitement, as we continued our tour and explored more of Rome's wonders. We enjoyed a six-course lunch, visited the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and many other historic sites. We returned to the center of Rome that night for an authentic Roman dinner and then indulged in the best gelato we've ever had as we walked around re-visiting our favorite landmarks. It was a perfect day, and we are so happy to share it with you on our wedding website. Thank you for being part of our journey and celebrating our love with us.
