In May of 2020, Jack & Taylor met on Hinge. Taylor knew there was something special there when their first conversation was mostly about pizza. (@Hinge #SponsorUs) The first summer spent together was full of outdoor date nights, pizza picnics and camping trips. Jack had to check that Taylor could handle the outdoorsy life with him and Taylor noticed early there was another (four legged) lady in his life whose stamp of approval was the most important. Luckily, the Violet girl immediately was on board for all the sunshine with Taylor during her summers off. As the school year began and it turned into Fall, Jack & Taylor continued to take on life with each other and their love was constantly growing. They knew this was not like the other relationships from the past and it was something special. Jack was a quiet and sweet guy who would listen to Taylor's endless stories and she fit right in with his old man sleeping schedule. Jack & Taylor continued to spend more and more and more time together: Families & friends were introduced to the other. Job changes and promotions celebrated. Holiday's spent together. More date nights. More camping trips. All the violet cuddles. Visits to hometowns (Geneva, IL and San Diego, CA). Jack bought a house. Taylor moved in & they officially became roommates in March 2021. In June 2021, Violet’s world was flipped upside down when they brought home a new little furry bundle of joy, who once could jump on the couch, never left her alone. Violet learned that Stanley was not going anywhere and now loves her little brother. Jack & Taylor have grown to support each other through life's ups, downs and everything in between. He quickly learned that Taylor can't be told "no" when asking to order pizza, that no matter what day of the week it is if the Kansas City Chiefs or Kansas Jayhawks are playing that is where she will be and that Taylor has a big heart that she wears on her sleeve. She knew early that her Denver sports team would be the Colorado Avalanche, always to add extra spice to his meals and that he will do anything for the people (and puppies) that he loves. Which leads us to June 12, 2022. Jack & Taylor went to Buena Vista, CO for a weekend of camping to celebrate their 2 year anniversary. Sunday morning came, they started to clean up the campsite like any other trip. The truck was fully packed and Jack asked Taylor to take a family photo before heading home. It was the dreamiest morning she could have imagined. It was not too chilly, the sun was rising over the most beautiful mountainous backdrop and as Taylor turned around to get into the picture, Jack was on one knee. The easiest question he ever had to ask and the easiest question for her to answer. Driving down the mountain with no service, Taylor stared at her hand for 2.5 hours and couldn't wait to share the news with their family and friends. Best. Day. Ever.
