Due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, we were forced to think creatively. To maintain safety and keep our loved ones close at hand and heart, we married at TreeHouse Point on August 24, 2020. Wedfuly hosted via Zoom. All things considered, the day worked out beautifully. Now that we're married, we've updated this wedding site by adding wedding pics and link to our video. We'll update until after a post-pandemic, in-person celebration or celebrations (fingers crossed). If you missed the ceremony and would like to watch the recording, here's the link: https://vimeo.com/485651189. To protect our privacy, we added a password. Feel free to email us for it. We're happy! And sending love. Rob and Laura
We're both mad travelers, and met during a Travel Writing workshop at Chatham University. We began to notice each other when Laura workshopped a piece about Cyprus, and Rob brought... animation to the discussion. Then Vietnam. Although the trip was a spring masters seminar with twenty-five people, it was magical for us. After all, nothing says love and romance like a visit to the Hanoi Hilton to see its guillotine! A few weeks later, we were the only two game for a camping and writer’s retreat. So we went anyway! Rob taught Laura to say "Ohiopyle" like a native and Laura cooked Rob veg ratatouille. Some place between Toronto and Yellowstone, Ohiopyle and Cannon Beach, we realized we never want to travel without each other. We're writing our story as we go along. Thank you for joining us as we start a new chapter.
