How and when do I RSVP?

Answer

You will RSVP here, on our wedding website, after invitations are mailed out. Scan the QR code or click on the RSVP tab, enter your name, and indicate your attendance. Please RSVP by 10/29/2025 to ensure we can accommodate everyone comfortably.

¿Cómo y cuándo debo confirmar mi asistencia (RSVP)?

Answer

Podrás confirmar tu asistencia aquí, en nuestro sitio web de bodas, después de que se envíen las invitaciones. Escanea el código QR o haz clic en la pestaña de RSVP, ingresa tu nombre e indica tu asistencia. Por favor, confirma tu asistencia antes del 29/10/2025 para asegurarnos de poder acomodar a todos cómodamente.

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at our church, The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Wichita, KS from 1:45PM - 3:00PM. The reception will take place at Oak Hollow Wedding Venue in Winfield, KS starting at 4:30PM. There is a 45 minute commute to the wedding venue in Winfield from Wichita. Please plan accordingly. Refer to the schedule page for addresses to both locations.

La ceremonia se celebrará en nuestra iglesia, la Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepción en Wichita, KS de 1:45PM a 3:00PM. La recepción será en el Oak Hollow Wedding Venue en Winfield, KS a partir de las 4:30PM. Hay un trayecto de aproximadamente 45 minutos desde Wichita hasta el lugar de la recepción en Winfield. Por favor, planea en consecuencia. Consulta la página del horario para las direcciones de ambos lugares.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are at capacity with our venue which means we are not able to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate named guests listed on your invitation.

Answer

We have decided to have an ADULTS-ONLY celebration. The only exceptions are children from our families traveling from out of town. Thank you for understanding.

Will there be assigned seating at the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will not be assigned seating for the nuptial mass at the church. However, there will be assigned seating for the reception at the wedding venue. Upon arrival, please find you name and table number on the seating chart.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Our 'travel' tab has hotels and airbnb options in and close to Winfield, KS as well as options in Wichita, KS. There will be alcohol served at the reception and we want to stress that the venue is a 45 minute commute from Wichita. If you plan on drinking, we ask that you please drink responsibly and make necessary arrangements. We want everyone to have a fun and SAFE night!

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

Answer

There is no dress code that we are enforcing. Please feel free to wear whatever is comfortable and makes you feel fabulous! If you are looking for a suggestion, we recommend semi-formal or cocktail attire.

What weather should I expect?

Answer

If you are from Kansas or have been to Kansas than you know this is a very difficult question. It may be a beautiful fall day or we might have 6 inches of snow... It is more than likely going to be a cooler temperature, but this question will be updated once we get to the wedding month of November!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will be having an open bar during the reception with a variety of beer, seltzers and mixed drinks. Tipping the bartender is not required, but always appreciated by the staff.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the nuptial mass out of respect for the sacred church. But, for the rest of the wedding, we strongly encourage guests to take and post pictures using our wedding hashtag #NeverSayNava so we can see them too!

What can I expect to see and experience at the wedding?

Answer

If you've never been to a Mexican wedding, you are in for a treat! We will be having a bilingual Spanish/English mass and reception. You will see many traditions and customs from the couples familial roots that come from the states of Guerrero and Durango, Mexico. There will be ceremonial rites in the catholic mass, a mariachi band, an authentic Mexican style buffet for dinner, a live Mexican band and MANY fun, traditional and special dances such as ... La Vibora De La Mar aka "the sea snake dance", El Baile Del Billete aka "the money dance", El Baile De La Iguana aka "the iguana dance" and El Muertito aka "the tossing of the groom". We strongly encourage everyone to come ready to participate and immerse themselves in our culture and traditions. We can't wait to celebrate with you all!

¡Si nunca has estado en una boda mexicana, estás por vivir una experiencia única! Tendremos una misa y una recepción bilingüe en español e inglés. Verás muchas tradiciones y costumbres de las raíces familiares de la pareja, originarias de los estados de Guerrero y Durango, México. Habrá ritos ceremoniales durante la misa católica, un mariachi, una cena buffet de estilo mexicano auténtico, una banda mexicana en vivo y MUCHOS bailes tradicionales y divertidos como: La Víborita, El Baile del Billete, El Baile de la Iguana, y El Muertito (el lanzamiento del novio). ¡Te animamos a venir con ganas de participar y sumergirte en nuestra cultura y tradiciones! ¡Estamos emocionados de celebrar con todos ustedes!
