We met on Rangerettes when Emily was a Sophomore Rangerette and Spencer was a Freshman manager. We knew of each other from being on the team but didn't talk much. Emily's Rette big sister's mom ran a wedding expo in East Texas and asked Emily to find models for the expo. For anyone who knows Rettes or KC...it's a small town and the team pretty much sticks together, so Emily didn't know any boys and was nervous about finding models. As she was walking across the KC campus sidewalk carrying a carved pumpkin to a school contest, she ran into Spencer. She asked a long winded question asking him if he'd be OK with modeling - emphasizing that it's fine if he says no - and he said yes! We got to know each other through this process and went out to Cane's with all of the models, Spencer still wearing his suit, and have a funny memory of our friends sitting awkwardly far away from us. We kept talking after the expo and eventually went on a date to Panera, where we accidentally stayed past closing just talking. We eventually started dating March 24th, 2016 and the rest is history. 3.24.16 to forever!
