One of our favorite restaurants in the city, this lovely little French bistro has an excellent menu with lots of options for everyone and great offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sára's favorite meal in the world may be their mussels & frites, while Luke loves to start with the burrata salad.
Chalet, designed to look like a ski lodge, has a charming atmosphere and delicious drinks to match it. Their pistachio latte, hot chocolate, and pastries are an excellent way to start your day. In the afternoon, the place transforms to a wine bar with wine, beer, charcuterie, and raclette, so you could really spend your whole day here!
Best croissants and pastries in Indianapolis. According to us, but also the professional pastry chefs of the area (okay, one professional pastry chef that we spoke to at a dinner party one time). Seriously amazing spot for coffee, pastries, or a sandwich.
A tiny, but delicious spot for Indian food featuring a robust menu of items from a multitude of different regions. A local classic near to our home and dear to our hearts, but, be warned, carry-out wait times can be a bit unpredictable (read: very long & have a snack before)
An absolutely impeccable sushi menu featuring all the classics as well as vegan and vegetarian options. A little bit on the pricey side, but worth the splurge if you are a sushi-lover. The seaweed salad is an unexpected star on the menu!
Okay, we are hesitant to admit this, but they may or may not know us (and our order) by name here. In our defense, we do live extremely close to the restaurant! If you are craving a classic smash burger or fried chicken sandwich, this is the place for you. We will probably see you there!
The best spot for sandwiches in the city! It is one of our favorite Sunday afternoon traditions to grab some fresh sandwiches, coffees, and gelato from this delightful bistro. They also have excellent, upscale produce and deli goods. You might as well start a sandwich punch card while you are here--feel free to pass it to us if you leave town!
