If you know Alexis, you would know that she is obsessed with cows. As a kid, as the family drove by them, she would yell "I love you cows." Alexis works as an ICU nurse and loves to watch UT football. She is kind and loyal and loves her loved ones with all of her heart. She is very excited to marry her best friend and start this new chapter in life with all her friends and family by her side.
Hayden Nelson
Groom
If you know Hayden, you would know that he has a huge love for Dinosaurs. Once upon a time, he wanted to become a paleontologist but settled on being a Radiological Controls Technician. His hobbies include hunting, reading, weight lifting and jiu-jitsu. He is a family man and loves his loved ones very deeply and is excited on sharing this day with his loved ones.
Hannah B
Maid of Honor
I met Hannah in 2017, and we have been sisters ever since. Hannah is 18 years old and plans on moving to Tennessee to live with us in the fall. She will take a gap year and then start her college journey in studying psychology. We call her Bestie as she is always everyone's bestie. If you know Hannah, you would know that she sometimes repeats words back to herself as she speaks to you, and she loves her dog Mayzie. Hannah is strong, organized, and loyal. I could not imagine getting married without her by my side supporting me the whole way!
Caleb
Best Man
Caleb and Hayden met in kindergarten. It must have been the dinosaurs or G.I. Joes that made their friendship last a lifetime. They now work at the same place and if Hayden doesn't eat his lunch, it is because they went out to eat together. If you know Caleb you would know that he has started a family that he loves and devotes his life to. Hayden is very excited to have Caleb be by his side for our big day.
Alex
Bridesmaid
Alex was the first person that Alexis met when she moved to tennessee. Her favorite memory of Alex was when Alexis didn't know what a buggy was and Alex had to explain to her what that word means in the south. If you know Alex you know that she never has the same hair color for very long, and she hates the cold. Alex is in the process of buying her first home in Orlando! Alexis is very grateful for the great hospitality that Alex has shown her in the south, and is thankful for the friendship they have shared ever since.
Garrett
Groomsman
Garrett is a childhood friend of Hayden's and has been part of his life since. A funny memory of them was in sixth grade during dodgeball. Neither one of them could play dodgeball very well so they decided to play defense and use each other as a human shield. If you know Garrett you would know that he loves the gym and is very particular about how is hair looks. We are very excited to have Garrett be on this journey with us!
Hannah M
Bridesmaid
Hannah is Hayden's sister, and I met her early on in our relationship. She is the type of woman who will ask you how you are doing, then reasks how you are really doing. She has a heart of gold that shines brighter than you would think is possible. If you know Hannah you would know that she is an Army Wife. If you don't see her, she is probably in her room playing video games on the phone with her husband. Just remember to feed her. I am so excited to have a new sister that is so kind, so strong and an inspiration to everyone!
Corbin
Groomsman
Corbin is Hayden's cousin. Although he only has one kidney, it has never stopped him in life. Corbin is a student basketball coach at Lipscomb University. He has his own podcast and if he is out of the state, it is probably because he is interviewing NCAA basketball coaches. Corbin is the little brother Hayden never had and we are excited to have him part of our big day.
Audrey
Bridesmaid
Audrey and Alexis met when they worked together at Target. Alexis always remembers making Audrey the Pink Drink when she worked at Starbucks. They really bonded while serving together and became the duo that you couldn't separate. You may have seen what Audrey has been up to lately, as she has been doing Alexis's hair. If you know Audrey you would know that she loves to dirt bike, her Camaro, and her family. Audrey shows everyone she meets the love of Jesus and Alexis cannot wait for her to spread that love throughout her wedding day.
Brett
Groomsman
Hayden and Brett met in sixth grade when Brett moved into Oakdale. Hayden remembers him wearing a shirt that looked like Steve from Blues Clues. If you know Brett you would know that he loves to fish. He is a travel nurse and that makes him hard to track down some days, but we are very excited to reel him in for our big day
Ann
Mother of the Bride
Ann is Alexis's mother, but you wouldn't even be able to tell. If you ask Alexis who one of her best friends is, she will always say her mom. If you know Ann, it's probably because she has knitted you socks. Ann is a retired 2nd-grade teacher, and she showed her love for young education. Ann and Hayden have a special bond that comes down to their shared love for dinosaurs. Ann is the type of person that welcomes everyone with open arms and shows everyone kindness.
Ivy
Flower Girl
Ivy is the daughter of Garrett. She is 100% a daddy's girl until she arrives at our household. You know when Ivy has been at our house because our play-doh is all mixed together and you will find markers left uncapped. Hayden knows when she has been over when he looks in the mirror to marker scribbles on his forehead. Ivy is a highly loveable girl who has no problems telling our dogs no. So if she tosses flower petals, it will only be because she wants to.
Melanie Nelson
Mother of the Groom
Momma Mel is the mom of Hayden, but feels like a second mom to Alexis. If you know Melanie, you know that she probably has anything you need in the back of her car. Melanie is kind, caring and beautiful inside and out. If you can't find Melanie, it is probably because she is wrapped up in a warm blanket in her fuzzy socks sitting next to the heater. Alexis and Hayden are so excited to have Melanie be a part of their special day!
Pokey Nelson
Father of the Groom
Pokey is Hayden's father. If you know Pokey, you would know that he is an avid hunter. If you can't get ahold of him, it is probably because he is mowing his yard. Pokey was the one who put Alexis on her deer this year and shared that hunting passion with both Hayden and Alexis. Although their favorite memories are in the woods with him, they are very excited for him to be a part of their big day.
