Matron of Honor
Where to begin about Hannah's mama?! Her best friend in the whole world, voice of reason, and confidant has known Hannah since she popped out over a month before she was supposed to (this was also the last time Hannah has ever been early). Hannah wouldn't be half the person she is today without Amy, and always loves to hear how much she looks like her, especially when they both show up somewhere wearing different versions of the same outfit.
Bridesmaid
One of Hannah's best friends, they've known each other since kindergarten when their dads, who still work together today, told them to play together at school and become friends. Shoutout to Dale and Steve! From Dairy Nights to Beyonce to Genna's to having full conversations talking like Forrest Gump, Annie remains one of the best people in Hannah's life.
Bridesmaid
Hannah has known Haley since elementary school and has been lucky enough to have been close with her ever since. What would life be without her tall, Bravo-loving, sports-obsessed, no-bullshit best pal? Hannah hopes to never find out. It would truly be a tragedy to not be able to rant about Sutton, share random teacher stories (good, bad, and ugly), and have Lucille dates with this woman.
Bridesmaid
Morgan and Hannah have known each other for about 7 years and have grown their friendship through lots of camping and backpacking trips and backyard hangs. They also LOVE to have romcom nights, go to brunch, and do trivia nights with their partners. Hopefully one day the trivia master will have an actual science question in the science category...
Bridesmaid
There will be a lot of Hannahs at this wedding. These two in particular have known each other ever since their partners met while birding. Hannah and Hannah had a very girls-in-the-bar-bathroom kind of night the first time the four of them hung out. Deep conversations about knitting, gin, and their shared love of Doctor Who ensued. It's been love ever since.
Bridesman
Hannah has known Jack since the day he was born. Since then, he has always looked up to her, until he got taller and started looking down on her. Throughout both periods, Jack has always been incredibly important to Hannah, even though he's indirectly the cause of her forehead scar and also mooned her friends growing up. Hopefully we will all be spared at the wedding.
Best Man
Caleb & Nate first met on the 2021 Madison Christmas Bird Count. (This was also the beginning of the birding/Culver's tradition which includes a separate life list of all birds seen at or from a Culver's). Since then they've traveled to all the counties in Wisconsin together, as well as Argentina & Chile. On the rare occasions when they're not birding together, they're bonding over their love for beer, Python, MTG, and women named Hannah.
Groomsman
Ezra and Caleb lived across the hall in the dorms at the University of Oklahoma and quickly upgraded to friends, then roommates, then friends again (jk jk). It's probably safe to say they wouldn't have made it this far if it weren't for hearts, blood moons, or sporcle. Caleb was accidentally the first to know when Ezra and Holly started dating, was a groomsman in their wedding, and now feels obligated to return the favor.
Groomswoman
Holly is the only person in the wedding party who will laugh at Caleb's absolute zero effort puns. Although things got off to a rocky start when Holly unthinkingly mentioned pheasant hunting, we recovered when Holly brought up snakes and country music and Caleb became genuinely the first person in the world to honestly alb-appreciate Iowa. Although the entire point of a summer wedding is sunny weather, Holly probably has her thunderstorm guy on speed dial because she knows that rain is a good thing.
Groomsman
Caleb and James are the classic story of two guys who only met because their ladies were already friends. Caleb's greatest regret in life is meeting this squad mere weeks after James & Morgan's wedding, but still in time to help them move into their first house. (His number two regret is the fact that James is a Niners fan). Theirs is a friendship fraught with competition from fantasy football to disc golf to MTG, but Caleb usually lets James win so James will keep cooking for him.
Groomsman
Caleb was never more relieved than when he learned he wasn't about to get a third sister after all. Noah is always good for a crossword puzzle, grinding some video game until 3am, or some much-needed fashion advice. His one flaw is that he'll always deny Caleb is the taller brother, even when confronted with undeniable proof.
Officiant
Caleb's literal first memory is peeking over the crib to meet his first sibling. It's a good thing too, because you can't miss the peace and quiet you never had. But for all the chaos, there has also been endless fort-building, domino-playing, river-floating, and of course, the Alphabet Game. And a thousand other things that only two siblings could have done. Hannah instantly qualified for the role of the officiant simply by having the name Hannah and being the Frome most well suited to public speaking.
