Our Story On a warm night living in Florida on October of 2019 while browsing Social Media I came across a picture of Alexis. I was immediately awestruck and could not believe my eyes. A beautiful goddess living in Jersey City my hometown, and I felt like I had to get to know her. A friend request was sent and a friendship began. I started to notice her posts coming up and saw that we had such similar interests and she had such a fun and amazing personality. Long distance meant nothing at that point. I had to learn more, find out more, as the intrigue became to much to bare. We had interactions with funny posts and gif wars that started building our friendship more and more as days went by. Eventually one night I grew the courage to message her and inform her how much I enjoyed our interactions and it would be great to get to know her better. She replied back in agreement and it went great from there. I noticed that she was always on my mind. I couldn’t stop thinking about her. The way her eyes sparkled when she smiled that gorgeous smile of hers. The distinct birthmarks that marked her face like a beautiful constellation in the nights sky. Her hair as it hung past her neck and flowed beautifully as she moved. Her laugh which made my spirit melt. I knew how much I cared for her and asked her if she would be my girlfriend on Dec. 7, 2019. She said yes and less than 1 month later she was in my arms for the first time. Our lips touched and I knew that this was it. I knew I loved her and I wanted to be with her and only her. Throughout the year I fell deeper and deeper in love with her and knew in my mind and heart that she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. We have gone through this journey together so far, through ups and downs, and have learned so much about eachother.
Nelson proposed in front of Alexis’ closest family, which consisted of her mom, older sister, nieces and nephew. We stood infront of our beautiful christmas tree trying to take a family picture with our furry baby, Luna. After a couple of bloopers with getting Luna to sit still, he pulled out the ring and popped the question!
