With the help of modern technology and a quick swipe right, Stephanie and Neil exchanged a few message over the following week. They met at Sasha’s Wine Bar for their first date on March 7, 2019. Over a glass of Cabernet, Stephanie and Neil quickly hit it off. They had many similarities and common interests. Prior to the first date coming to an end, Neil asked Stephanie for a second date. Two days later, they went out for their second date. The second date consisted of a competitive game of axe throwing (Stephanie won!) and a dinner reservation. The second date solidified that both Stephanie and Neil should continue to date and grow their relationship. Over the last three and a half years, Stephanie and Neil have experienced many new adventures together. They have been fortunate enough to travel internationally, to multiple new cities, hike new trails, attend sporting events, concerts and try new restaurants and wines, just a few of their favorite things to do together. Through all of the great times, they have also encountered life events that have only strengthened their relationship and their love for each other, including Neil’s diagnosis of Hodgkins Lymphoma in May 2020. They look forward to loving each other unconditionally, experiencing many new life adventures and growing their family together.

On May 20, 2022, Stephanie and Neil set out for their planned hiking trip to Vail, Colorado. Little did Stephanie know, Neil had a surprise planned. Neil had planned a hot air balloon proposal, that was quickly aborted due to a late spring snow storm that dropped a foot of snow where the hot air balloon ride was taking place. Neil quickly came up with his plan B proposal. Stephanie and Neil woke up early on May 22, 2022 to go get coffee and walk the quaint, quiet Vail Village. It was then Neil proposed a lifelong partnership and matrimony along Gore Creek. Stephanie was elated and quickly accepted the proposal. They spent the rest of their trip hiking, biking and indulging on dinners and champagne to celebrate their engagement.
