Taormina, Sicily

Welcome!

We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you in the sun-splashed coastal town of Taormina, Sicily. From ancient roots to new memories, this beautiful Italian island means so much to us, and will mean even more with your presence on our special day. So pack your favorite swimsuit, break in those dancing shoes, and press your Sunday finest for an Italian wedding weekend like no other! _______________

Love at First Swipe

Our story began with a coy message on a dating app. A few days of banter and one cancelled date later, Nathaniel (along with a gentle nudge from Paula's mother) convinced Paula to travel all the way to the Upper East Side for a drink. Which turned in to five drinks. On a Sunday night. Love may not have been in the air just yet, but we were certainly partners-in-crime at first sight. Barely 50 dates (give or take) later, on a misty morning in Paris, we confessed our love together. The City of Lights gave us delicious escargots in street-side cafes, mediocre cocktails in small speakeasys, and relentless food poisoning. Couples who suffer together, stay together. Our love grew and our lives intertwined. We moved in together, and life was good. Until... Covid.

Passing The Pandemic Test

Isolation from the outside world, confinement in a small one-bedroom apartment, and the stress of uncertainty are the perfect cocktail for a strained and frayed relationship. But amid so much turmoil, our love only grew stronger. It was the worst of times; it was the best of times.

A Very Quarantine Proposal

In the wake of travel restrictions and a cancelled trip to Hawaii, grand plans for a beachfront proposal were postponed indefinitely, until we planned a weeklong trip out of the city, to the glamorous...Warwick, New York. Hidden in the basement during each of Paula's workouts, Nathaniel secretly assembled all of the elements for a surprise sunset proposal, and three equally devious friends discreetly conspired to keep Paula in the dark. Finally, on the evening of May 31st, following a three-course homemade dinner and more than a little wine, the group engineered a flimsy pretense to march Paula, her eyes covered, to the tree at the bottom of the hill behind the house; and, under a canopy of illuminated umbrellas and cascading lights, a nervous Nathaniel, talking way too fast, got down on one knee, where a smiling, tearful Paula nodded (and then, at the insistence of Nathaniel, said) "Yes."
