Our Story

Nathan and I met on a blind date at Old Devil Moon, a dive bar featuring New Orleans-style cocktails. While walking home we found out we were neighbors. On our third date, Nathan let me know he was moving to Colorado. As a parting gift, he gave me an adrenaline rush. We rock climbed to the top of Cathedral Peak, a 10k+ ft. summit in Yosemite, then repelled under the stars. We both remember falling in love on my first Colorado trip at an Above & Beyond concert at Red Rocks. We fell further in love while camping in Estes Park, Moab, and Wind River. After travel shut down for covid, our time between visits grew longer so our FaceTimes got more creative. He wooed me with paintings and poems, and I wooed him with the harmonica and games. A year later, Nathan returned to SF so we could build our lives together under one roof. In August 2021, we planned a concert, camping, and Carmel Valley Ranch weekend in Big Sur and proposed to each other by a river in the Ventana Wilderness.
