Nathan and Austin met in a German class freshman year of college, and Austin was incredibly persistent that he would be Nathan's friend, despite all Nathan's socially awkward attempts to avoid the scary straight man. But Austin ended up being one of the most accepting, caring friend Nathan could ask for. Austin has been Nathan's rock several times through all his ups and downs, and Nathan really couldn't ask for anyone better as his best friend.

Matt and Nathan met at Nathan's internship placement during his Master's, and they pretty much connected immediately. They both had that chaotic but passionate energy that led Nathan to look up to them both as a social worker and friend, and they made Nathan feel a lot more confident in who he is and who he wanted to become both as a person and in his career. He wouldn't be where he is today without them.

Mar and Nathan were on the same intake team at Nathan's current job, and was the brave soul who reached out to Nathan first when he wasn't really sure how to go about making making friends in a virtual format. They quickly became each other's venting buddies and advocates, reminding one another to be more kind and accommodating to themselves. Nathan really appreciates their kindness, support, and friendship.

One of Nico's best friends. They met each other in 2012 and became inseparable after realizing how much they had in common including interests, political ideas, and their love for discussion and debate. Nico officiated Michael's wedding back in 2017, and now Michael is returning the favor over six years later.

Nathan and Nico's baby, and the flower baby for the wedding. He's incredibly sweet and well behaved and the best cat ever.
