We are Eloping!

It all started at a crappy little sports bar in St. Charles… We were connected in so many ways but fate did not bring us together until November of 2018. A friend of Kirsten’s, who she got a job in the kitchen, brought his friend in for a job. We didn’t get along too well at first, Kirsten was very high energy and Nathan was almost always a little ball of anger. After a few months of working together, the annoyance and slight disliked turned into a crush. We got to know each other and became inseparable! In February, of the following year our love began at the St. Louis Art Museum.

We have been through a lot in the past few years. Both of us have struggled significantly since Kirsten was diagnosed with Kidney failure. When things finally started getting better, we decided we finally wanted to get married. With medical costs and the dream/goal to buy a house in the near near future, we thought eloping sounded like a wonderful idea. We could have an intimate ceremony to celebrate our love together. Besides, it’s more about the marriage than the wedding. By eloping, we are able to save money and have a more magical day than we would be able to afford if we had a full ceremony. As much as we would love for family and friends to be there to witness, it is very important to us to have the most intimate ceremony we can after my life altering diagnosis and for us to begin building our future. All of our friends and family remain in our hearts on our special day. Thank you to our parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles for being amazing role models and examples for our future marriage!
