I’ve had the pleasure of having Carla in my life for about 8 years now! She has blossomed into such a radiant beautiful woman. I can come to her when I am at my lowest low, or highest high, or just to sit and work for hours in silence over FaceTime! For us not being in the same city, God has truly placed a hedge of protection around our friendship. God knew I needed her. I’m very thankful for her and Nathan’s relationship. I champion them both and I look forward to cheering them on!

Carla and I met in my sophomore year of college. We were paired together at an event and i was struck by her perceptiveness and authenticity, and knew I wanted to be friends. From the FaceTime calls throughout covid, to jam sessions, trips, and deep convos I’ve found myself so thankful for her friendship! I remember when she first told me she was talking to Nathan and I love seeing how their relationship has progressed. I’m excited to see all the wonderful ways their life together will unfold!

Carla and I have been close friends since middle school. So many of my most special memories are with her! We both grew up with only brothers, so it’s really always felt like we were each other’s sisters that we never had. I will forever remember and cherish our sleepovers for weeks on end over the summer, Disney and Universal trips, and eating ice cream on my bed watching our favorite TV/movies (RuPaul’s Drag Race, Gossip Girl, and Emperor’s New Groove are some of our favorites) and dreaming about our future. I’m so grateful to have grown up with such a strong, intelligent, hilarious, and thoughtful friend who makes every single moment, big or small, feel like the most fun and special experience. I cannot begin to express my excitement that she has found her forever person, and I’m so honored to be a part of this special celebration!!

I remember some night in January 2021, Nathan and I were living together and he came into my room, started messing with things, sitting down at my desk, being weird and goofy and I could tell he wanted to talk about something. He started to eventually open up and tell me that there was a girl he liked and I got so excited and asked him to describe her and how he met her and to tell me everything! We talked for hours, he was gushing and blushing and I was squealing! When I first met Carla I remember being so socially awkward, as usual, and blanked out, not knowing what to say or ask about her and I retreated to my room. She helped me come out of my shell with her accepting, welcoming, and fun energy, she was so easy to get along with. I was so excited that Nathan found someone he was his genuine, weird self with, and she merged so easily into our family that I knew Nathan had finally found his person! I am so grateful that I gained such a great friendship through my brother. I love you Carla and I can’t wait to be your sister!

Carla Carla Carla!!!! What a beautiful soul! I met Carla way back when at a sorority event and from the minute I met her she was a ball of life and energy! She was getting to know everyone and truly making each person she talked to feel valued. We became a lot closer a few ago when we began to realize that we view life in a very similar way and could go through both good and tough times together in a way that was supportive and always cheering the other person on towards The Lord, happiness, and success. Our relationship means the absolute world to me because it is based on truth and pure love for each other. We know that we can be can silly, funny, and having the best time together but at the same time can come to each other and share our struggles and challenges to receive unconditional support and understanding. I always say that she is stuck with me forever because I love Carla endlessly and can’t wait to celebrate with her through this next beautiful phase of life with Nathan!

Nathan and I met at Greenhouse Church his freshman year of college at the College Connect session after the service. The next semester he joined Kappa Phi and we instantly became best friends. Nathan has been a constant friend and brother through so many seasons of my life. We have enjoyed traveling together from Haiti, to Europe, and skiing on the Rockies. His reverence for the Lord is inspiring. Nathan’s love, patience, kindness, forgiveness and willingness to help are evident in everything he does in life. It was such a blessing for me after only a year and a half in North Carolina to have Nathan move so close. He has supported me in the toughest journeys of my life from applying to medical school, now being in medical school, and soon enough matching for residency. He was there for me during MCAT prep, Step 1, and Step 2. We continue to enjoy being outdoors together, drinking beers, and traveling when we can. I know that it will not be long before Nathan and I find another adventure. I remember the first time Nathan brought Carla up to me and mentioned he was going to date her. I knew she must be special if she caught Nathan’s attention. I was not wrong. Living so close to Carla has been such a blessing as well. She is so kind and caring. She makes it easy to like her. She always seeks deeper conversation and skips through small talk. I know together, Nathan and Carla will make a great impact on the Kingdom with their love, genuineness, and compassion.

Nathan and I met in the spring of his Freshman year in our fraternity called Kappa Phi! We lived in our fraternity house on the same floor and over time I was blessed to get to know Nathan closely. He’s a friend who’s always up for something fun and entertaining which I value! Whether it’s been phone calls from different cities or meeting up to hang out, he’s been a steadfast friend to me. I’m so excited to watch him enter this next chapter of marriage!

Nathan and I became friends our freshman year of college at UF. I was shocked to meet someone so smart and spiritually mature but just as goofy and funny. He is very intentional, inclusive, and radiates God’s love. From the late night jam sessions, to eboard meetings, trips, intentional conversations, and everything in between, I can’t be more thankful for having a friend like Nathan! I’m thrilled to see Nathan enter his next stage of life and I know God has great things planned for him and Carla!

They say that college is where you meet some of your best friends for life, and that has been so true in my friendship with Nathan. I met Nathan at the church we both attended, and he went on to become a true brother. Whether it be during our time in the same fraternity, to our conversations today, Nathan has been a constant. He has always been ready to help, have an adventure, or offer support. It has been amazing to watch him and Carla grow together as a couple, and I am so excited to be able to celebrate them as they begin their lives together.

Nathan and I were always friends throughout childhood but became best friends when we got to our junior year of high school. We would study together, get in trouble together, and explore the ocean together. One of the funniest moments of all time with Nathan was when we were kicked out of a 6 person class for not being able to contain our laughs. Our relationship knows no time just knows we enjoy each other. When we call we always pick back up right where we left off.
