What is the earliest we can arrive to The Foundry for your wedding ceremony?

Answer

We understand that unpredictable weather conditions may make you want to leave extra early from your hotel to arrive to our wedding on time. The Foundry will be open to guests as early as 4:15 pm. Upon entering, you will be greeted with warm apple cider. Prelude music will begin at approx. 4:30 pm.

Where should I park at The Foundry?

Answer

There is a parking lot just outside of our venue, located at 24 Carlton Place. Your vehicle will stay here throughout the evening.

How do I get from The Foundry to The Granary?

Answer

There will be two shuttles available, transporting you from The Foundry to The Granary. If you prefer a nice winter walk, there is a pedestrian bridge going across the Grand River, leading you straight to The Grand Room (approx. a three minute walk).

Question

Should I have received a food selection card in my invitation?

Answer

Nope! You will have a chance to select your meal from our dinner menu, provided at our wedding dinner.

What if I have a special dietary restrictions?

Answer

If you have an allergy, intolerance, or dietary restriction, please let Alex or Natalie know by December 10, so the Elora staff can accommodate your dietary needs.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No, there is no transportation provided from the hotel to the ceremony, or from the reception to the hotel at the end of the night. We hope you will drink responsibly knowing that there is quite a drive back to The Walper Hotel in Kitchener. However, if you feel unfit to drive, Red Top Taxi (519-821-1700) or Guelph Taxi (519-821-1414) are available to take you safely back to your hotel.
